Some of My Favorite Television Series

Since starting my sophomore year, I’ve noticed I’ve been watching a lot of Hulu and Netflix, due in part to not having cable at my apartment. In doing, so I’ve found and rediscovered some new and old favorites.

Criminal Minds ★★★★★

This is the newest show that I’ve started watching continuously. Out of all the crime shows that I’ve watched, this is the most unique in my opinion.  Each episode is about 40 minutes long and there are 12 seasons currently on Netflix.

Lucifer ★★★★☆

I got through 40+ episodes of over 40 minutes in less than 2 weeks. That should show how much I love this show. It has a ton of dark humor, which I love. Also, the main character played by Tom Ellis keeps his British accent in the show.

Rise ★★★☆☆

This a new show I’m watching. I found it because I follow the girl who played the voice of Moana in the popular Disney Movie on Instagram. She was promoting it, so I gave it a chance. It reminds me a little of High School Musical I – not going to lie and say that isn’t the reason why I’m liking it so far.

Grown•ish ★★★★☆

This is a spin-off of the show Blackish that starsthe teenage daughter, Zoey. The show is based on her first year of college and making new friends along the way. She is also finding out the type of person she wants to be.

How to Get Away with Murder ★★★★★

This is my all-time favorite show. I’ve been watching it since it premiered back in 2014. Each season has a twist to it with constant flashbacks. Out of all the shows I watch, this stresses me out the most because you get invested with each of the characters. Out of all the shows I’ve spoken about, this would be my one to watch first.

My Mad Fat Diary ★★★★☆

This show is based in the UK. I just finished rewatching the whole series for the second time. It follows the life of a teenage girl named Rae who is trying her best to deal with a mental illness and an eating disorder.

Rick and Morty ★★★★★

This is the cartoon to watch if you like inappropriate/dark humor. Rick is Morty’s grandfather and he takes him on a crazy adventure in almost every episode.
